The MSP Administrator role is crucial for delivering exceptional Go West Managed Services. Reporting to the MSP Manager, this position involves deploying software and hardware nodes, configuring and maintaining MSP platforms and services, processing alerts, performing regular maintenance, and ensuring accurate documentation for both internal staff and clients.

What you will be doing: 

  • Engaged participation in Go West’s MSP Team to achieve departmental and company objectives 

  • Submission of timely, thorough, and accurate labor entries 

  • Configure and maintain MSP platforms and services for Go West IT clients 

  • Deploy software and hardware nodes to new and existing MSP clients 

  • Troubleshoot MSP platforms and services and collaborate with vendor support teams as needed 

  • Ownership of in-scope client-facing tickets/tasks with occasional onsite work as necessary 

  • MSP Alert Processing and Triage 

  • Initial Analysis of Identified Spam/Phishing emails 

  • Assist with Quarterly Phish Campaign Creation and Management 

  • MSP Systems and Platform Maintenance 

  • Regular review and adjustment of MSP platforms to ensure that clients are receiving accurate and thorough service 

  • Create and maintain MSP process documentation for Go West staff 

  • Create and maintain end user documentation for MSP clients 

  • Ensure thorough documentation of MSP services in client documentation 

  • Identify recurring tasks or processes that can be automated or simplified 

  • Participation in onboarding/offboarding projects and execution of tasks along with accurate documentation of configuration and services as they relate to clients 

  • Coordinate client onboarding and offboarding tasks with Account Managers, Technical and Administrative staff, and clients 

  • Stay updated on Go West IT platform updates and on emerging technologies and industry trends to continually enhance MSP services and security 

  • Other duties as assigned by the MSP Manager or Leadership Team 

 

Job requirements

Qualifications we require from you: 

  • 2 or 4-year degree or equivalent experience with a managed services provider and/or applicable industry certifications 

  • Minimum of 2 years in a technical support role 

  • Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals MS-900 or equivalent 

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate with internal and external teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. 

  • Knowledge of security best practices 

  • Authorization to work in the United States 

Preferred skills from you: 

  • ITIL 4 Foundation Certification 

  • Relevant Cyber Security Industry certification(s) 

  • Relevant MSP Platform Certifications 

  • MSP industry experience/knowledge 

    Proficiency in the following: 

  • Administration of various MSP Platforms 

  • MacOS/Linux experience 

  • Basic PowerShell scripting skills
