The Network Engineer acts as a technical guide for Go West IT clients, playing an instrumental role in delivering comprehensive networking services and support for end users. In collaboration with all internal teams, the Network Engineer engages on advanced on-premise and Azure networking break/fix support requests, provides remote and onsite presence in support of client initiatives, and furnishes consultative guidance for the planning and execution of leading-edge networking projects and solutions. Reporting to a Managing Engineer, they apply critical thinking, impeccable organization, and a proactive approach to identify, troubleshoot, configure and solve complex networking issues in on premise, Azure cloud, and hybrid environments.

What you will be doing:
- Daily interaction with multiple clients to troubleshoot, plan, and implement networking solutions onsite at their office and/or remotely from our Greenwood Village office
- Advanced networking escalation triage and ticket management for optimal SLA delivery
- Hardware configuration, optimization, maintenance, and support
- Network systems design, cloud platform design, implementation, optimization, maintenance, and support
- LAN/WAN optimization, troubleshooting and support
- Internet service, email, and hosting setup or troubleshooting
- Complete documentation of client environments, processes, and credentials
- Thorough understanding of client networks, either on premise or in Azure, to provide optimal solutions and continued consulting
- Scoping and leadership of networking projects of various technical realms
- Submission of timely, thorough, and accurate billable labor entries for invoicing
- Opportunities to be involved with and support ongoing customer projects
- Other duties as assigned by the Managing Engineer
Job requirements
Qualifications we require from you:
- 2 or 4-year degree or equivalent experience in information systems or similar field, and/or applicable industry certifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in an equivalent network focused IT Engineer level role
- Authorization to work in the United States
Proficiency in the following:
- Network switch configuration, subnetting, routing, dynamic routing, VLAN creation / tagging and policy management
- Load balancing, monitoring, hybrid networking, IPsec, SSL tunnel configuration
- Firewall configuration, installation, policy creation, SD-WAN, HA failover
- Azure Virtual Networks, VNet peering, ASR, NSG, route servers, edge devices, networking across Azure regions
- Wi-Fi scoping, configuration, deployment and testing, wireless access point setup
- Firewall policy creation and depth of understanding (i.e., FortiGate, Cisco, SonicWall, or Palo Alto)
- Security (i.e., Microsoft Security and Compliance Center) edge device security policies and configuration, best practices
- Consulting/Customer Communication/Project Leadership
Encouraged, but not required:
- Expertise in FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP configurations, troubleshooting, and design.
- Industry Certifications (i.e., AZ-700, CCNP, NSE4, etc.) or the ability to obtain within first 90 days
